I have been playing and conducting Dungeons & Dragons sessions for over 25 years. There is no bigger fan of the genre. When i joined DDO i was excited to make Monk characters to promote the book i am releasing. I got to say i was not happy with the game. For me though it has more to do with the feel and setting than gameplay or control schemes.
I do not want to be in a D&D world and see half machine operated gadgets and gizmos. This is not RIft lol. I am a traditional D&D player who wants nothing to do with machines, even steam powered ones.
The story element was ok, and the world was a little cramped in the way you start and progress. I feel restricted more than i do that LOTRO, which i play as a free member also.
